Kate Love Interview

Join us for an illuminating conversation between Megan Sheldon and Kate Love, exploring the often-overlooked rituals and ceremonies that honour our most meaningful friendships.

Rituals and Friendship

In this exclusive interview, Kate Love shares her therapeutic insights on the power of ritual in friendship. These relationships profoundly shape our lives yet rarely receive the ceremonial acknowledgment they deserve.

During our conversation, we explore how friendships, like romantic relationships, move through distinct phases that benefit from intentional marking. We discuss the importance of acknowledging beginnings, celebrating milestones, navigating the highs and lows, and honouring endings when friendships shift or conclude.

The Importance of Friendship

Friendships are among the most significant relationships in our lives, yet we often lack the language and rituals to honour their depth and importance. Unlike romantic partnerships, friendships don’t come with built-in milestones or ceremonies to mark their evolution.

A friendship ritual can help you acknowledge the feelings you might be holding in connection with a new friendship forming, a recognition of a friend going through a challenging time, or the ending of a friendship that has run its course. It could be tied to a significant anniversary, a geographic transition, or simply a moment when you want to express gratitude for the role someone plays in your life.
