A new kind of storytelling
Narrative Communications was where I helped organizations find and tell their stories. Over time, that work morphed into a different kind of storytelling ~ the stories we live through grief, transition and rites of passage, and the silent thresholds that so often go unmarked.
Today I'm a humanist celebrant, end-of-life doula and ceremony guide, and the founder of Be Ceremonial. I still believe in the power of a well-told story. I've just come to see that some of the most important ones are the ones we hold together, in the hard moments of a life.

I continue to work with companies and teams ~ now helping them meet the moments that work life rarely makes room for. I support workplaces when:
- a team member dies
- a colleague is living with an illness
- someone is moving through a life transition, like divorce
- people are holding grief around fertility and pregnancy loss
- a team is navigating layoffs or firings
Weaving ritual into the workplace
I believe we need to weave ritual into our workplaces, so we can support each other through both the visible and the invisible losses. Together, we create rituals at every level:
Personal rituals
Simple practices that help individuals mark what they're carrying, and bring their whole selves to work.
Team rituals
Shared moments that help colleagues grieve, honour and move through change together.
Organizational culture rituals
Lasting traditions that build a culture of care, so no loss goes unacknowledged.
