Who is this for?

This masterclass was designed for EOLDAC members who had taken end-of-life doula training and wanted to deepen their understanding of how ritual and ceremony can support clients, families, communities, and their own self-care.

What to expect

The workshop explored foundational elements of ceremony and ritual design, visible and invisible moments around dying and death, grief and burnout, and practical ways to weave meaningful ceremony into end-of-life care.

Participants learned frameworks for crafting and convening end-of-life ceremonies, identifying key moments where ceremony can support meaning, recognizing different kinds of grief, and creating self-care and community-care practices for doula work.

Megan Sheldon

Ceremony Guide & Ritual Designer

Megan Sheldon (she/her) is a cultural mythologist, humanist celebrant, end-of-life doula, and co-founder of Be Ceremonial, the world's first guided ritual and ceremony platform. She is the author of Ritual Without Religion: A Humanist Guide to Creating Secular Ceremonies, and has spent years crafting ceremonies across the life cycle, with a focus on grief and the less visible moments of change and transition.
