This gathering was for Be Ceremonial members and community participants navigating career change, anticipating layoffs, supporting colleagues, retiring, starting new roles, or wanting organizations to better acknowledge professional transitions.

What to expect
Celebrants Megan Sheldon and Nicole Sammut guided a recorded virtual conversation with space to share, connect, and explore participants’ relationships with job loss and past professional changes that had not been fully acknowledged.

What you'll learn
The workshop explored anticipating layoffs, supporting friends and colleagues, how organizations can respond with care, and ceremonies for retirement, promotions, endings, and new beginnings at work.
Facilitators

Megan Sheldon
Megan Sheldon (she/her) is a cultural mythologist, humanist celebrant, end-of-life doula, and co-founder of Be Ceremonial, the world's first guided ritual and ceremony platform. She is the author of Ritual Without Religion: A Humanist Guide to Creating Secular Ceremonies, and has spent years crafting ceremonies across the life cycle, with a focus on grief and the less visible moments of change and transition.

Nicole Sammut
Nicole is a Life-Cycle Celebrant and Officiant. She is licensed under the province of Ontario as a Metaphysical Minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry (CIMM) and focuses on wedding ceremonies, healing transitions, and other special life events.
